Results of YOUR+HEALTH Survey
The brief survey, initiated by the the League of Friends, asked for your views on the future of the Milford on Sea War Memorial Hospital.
There is a lot of history and emotion regarding The War Memorial site. Local people wanted a war memorial to help everyone remember those who served and lost their lives in WW1. It was decided that the hospital was the best way to achieve this. The hospital hasn’t been a working hospital for over fourteen years, and has long been overtaken by the centres of healthcare excellence found at Southampton, Lymington and Bournemouth.
The aim of the survey is to understand your current and future healthcare needs to help achieve improved access to sustainable additional local health services.
One of the ways the League of Friends will be helping the community is by discussing with the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group how local needs of the population can be met.
