A glorious sunny day welcomed The Morgan Sports Car Club New Forest Centre for their Annual Lunch at South Lawn Hotel on Sunday 12th May 2024.

This spectacular array of iconic Morgan Sports Cars made a great display of classic British design on the hotel lawns.

About The Morgan Sports Car Company

The Morgan Sports Car Company was established in 1909 by H.F.S Morgan with the design of the classic Morgan Three Wheeler. This was followed, in 1936, by the Morgan 4-4, based on the Morgan steel chassis, with the car's hand-crafted frame continuing to be made of ash wood. These iconic British cars are still made today at the Morgan factory in Malvern, Worcestershire.

Morgan Sports Car Club New Forest Centre: Established in 1979 the Morgan Sports Car Club, New Forest Centre (known as LogMog) encompasses a wide area of South and West England, taking in the whole of Dorset, South Hampshire and parts of Wiltshire. You are sure of a friendly welcome at their regular meetings held at different locations across the area. About South Lawn Country Hotel and Cedar Tree Restaurant

South Lawn is a busy hotel in an enviable location with an excellent reputation for both the hotel and its restaurant, The Cedar Tree. This charming country hotel is dog friendly and set in five acres of landscaped grounds, close to Milford on Sea village and the coast.

Since late 2015, the hotel has been privately owned & managed by Tim & Nikki Wedgwood.

The Cedar Tree Restaurant is open to all and serves tasty breakfasts, great value lunches, as well as delicious afternoon cream teas, which can be served in the hotel gardens. Accommodation: In spring 2022, South Lawn added 24 new bedrooms in a new extension, taking the hotel to 51 en-suite bedrooms with the majority having views over the gardens and beyond.

The hotel is dog friendly and your furry friend is welcome to stay in a designated room.

Event Venue: In 2023, the hotel added The Pavilion to replace The Cornwallis Suite. This large space is 18m x 9m and can be used as one large private hire room or event space, it can also be divided into 3 smaller suites for use by as few as 20 people. Each side has bi-folds doors which open onto semi-private terraces.

There is also a boardroom for smaller private meetings or gatherings.

Awards: In the Summer of 2023, South Lawn was rated as 'Excellent' on TripAdvisor, and the No.1 hotel in the New Forest. TripAdvisor also recognised South Lawn as the 'No1 Best Value' of 2,955 places to stay in the UK.

In 2024, South Lawn were accredited with the 'Best of the Best' Award by Tripadvisor, a recognition achieved by only 1% of hotels worldwide, and they were also No.14 in the world in the Tripadvisor Best Pet Friendly Hotels.
