We are taking a break

Since May 2008, we have been publishing village news stories and events. In the past 17 years, we have published over 6,000 articles, 840 Village News Bulletins, and hope to have informed and amused.

Regrettably, the time has now come to take a rest, and we will not be publishing any more News Articles or Events for the foreseeable future.

We have enjoyed the journey, and send heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to and read these pages over the years - it has been fun.

PS: Since posting the message above, I have been inundated with personal email messages (in addition to the comments posted below) thanking me for the 17 years of producing Milford on Sea News.

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to write. Each and every one is really appreciated - and there are too many to reply personally.

The thanks go both ways; the success of the website was also due to over 2,500 loyal readers and the support I received throughout the community.

Regards, David

  11. Thank you as it has always been very interesting and kept me in touch for a few years when not here, we visit the area several times a year and at the moment here for 3 weeks and enjoying the sun! Perhaps there are some others who would be willing to do it giving you a much needed break, this is what happened with our village newsletter. Does anyone know any other way of keeping in touch with local events please? Enjoy the well earned rest!
