Oakhaven Hospice Walk

Many people in Milford on Sea have a connection with Oakhaven Hospice and they are inviting anyone to join in The Hospice Walk which takes place on Saturday 17th September 2022

Choose to walk one of three distances to Oakhaven Hospice, along beautiful seafront coastal paths: 26 miles from Sandbanks, 13 miles from Mudeford or 7 miles from Barton-on-Sea. All routes of course come through Milford on Sea.

If you can't walk the official route but you'd like to take part 'virtually' wherever you are, please select your virtual distance option when registering; all the items you need will be sent to you in advance in the post.

Full instructions and information for the day will be sent to you well before the event. Timings are to be confirmed in due course. It is anticipated that the 26 mile walk to start at 8:30am (as it has in the past), the 13 mile walk to start mid-morning and the 7 mile walk to start early afternoon.

About Oakhaven & Will Legacies

It is because of the legacy of Phoebe and John Coates that Oakhaven Hospice exists. The land on which the Hospice sits was once their home. It was gifted to the charity in 1992 so that Oakhaven could be established and so that people at end-of-life would receive specialist care in a safe and comfortable environment. Without their vision and generosity, Oakhaven simply wouldn’t be here.

Since opening, Oakhaven has been providing free hospice care for local people and their loved ones. During that time, gifts in Wills have played a significant role.

One in four patients are supported thanks to people leaving Oakhaven Hospice a gift in their Will. Legacies help to make every moment matter for those who are facing end-of-life and they are extremely grateful for all gifts in Wills, whatever their size.

After providing for family and friends, choosing to make a gift in a Will to Oakhaven Hospice can help provide future support and care as well as being a tax-efficient way of giving to charity and supporting the community.
