Charity Band Night success in aid of dementia

An enthusiastic crowd came and enjoyed two hours of live music from 'Nellie the Elephant' (a band made up of 5 local musicians guys from 5 different local bands) at The Crown Inn, Everton on Saturday 16th July.

The event was held in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society and the organisers were delighted to announce that £1058 was raised during the evening.

The Crown Inn is well known for holding live music events, with many being in aid of charities.

Local press report that future events may be in jeopardy due to noise complaints. This could ultimately put the pub at risk and a petition is currently underway to save the live music events.

  1. We had a really nice entertaining couple of hours and raised money for a good cause...it's a pity the "natives" weren't so appreciative :-(
