This incredible work captures the magnificence of the tiger, and the stainless steel is enhanced with stripes made from copper.

From his studio in Lymington, Michael creates spectacular and detailed bespoke sculptures as major statement pieces for gardens or smaller interior art for the home.

Another of his many extraordinary creations is the 'Gorilla on a Motorbike' which now proudly sits in the lucky owners garden.

Michael also does smaller pieces to suit all budgets, so it is worth checking out his website.

You can see more of Michael's work by clicking here.

About Michael Turner
Since leaving school, the development of his creative and artistic skills, has led to recognition both within the UK and internationally.

During his formative years, his talent became apparent. He had an innate understanding and ability to capture the form and beauty of nature by creating bugs and insects, created simply from the most basic of materials including nuts, bolts and sheet metal found in his fathers’ garage. Leon leaves £50k to Oakhaven Hospice

Lara Crouch, director of Winkworth Estate Agents in Church Hill, Milford on Sea recently make a very significant donation of £50,000 to Oakhaven Hospice from a legacy made by her father, Leon Crouch.

Leon was a businessman and a former chairman of Southampton Football Club.

Lara and her colleague Chris Collinge were busy over last summer raising more money for Oakhaven Hospice in memory of Lara’s Father Leon. They arranged a football tournament at St Mary's Stadium, Southampton for 8 local children’s football teams. The event was kindly sponsored by Patrick Trant of Trant Engineering and LPE in Lymington. All the children who attended the event worked really hard to fundraise to take part.

Alongside this Lara and Chris arranged a fantastic raffle which was incredibly well supported by many local businesses and individuals. The final amount they raised was £10,191 - a fantastic achievement.

About Leon Crouch (Wikipedia)

Leon Crouch (16 August 1949 – 13 September 2019) was an English businessman, who was formerly chairman of Southampton Football Club.

Crouch was the founder and chairman of the "Fullers Group" of companies which specialise in the manufacture, inspection and supply of precision engineered products, including machined components, fabrications, assemblies, kit sets and cold formed products for the telecommunications, medical, oil, defence, space, and marine industries.

He was acting chairman of Southampton F.C. until he was removed by the board in July 2007, but was re-appointed in December 2007, following Michael Wilde’s departure. Crouch was again forced to resign his position on 15 May 2008, when major shareholders, including Wilde and Rupert Lowe called an EGM requiring his removal. Whilst chairman of the club, Crouch paid personally for the replacement bronze statue of Saints legend Ted Bates which is now sited outside Southampton's St Mary's Stadium.

It was claimed by a representative of a Southampton Supporter's Club on Sky Sports News in late May 2009, that the only reason for Southampton's continued existence as a business was due to Leon Crouch putting money into the club "out of the goodness of his own heart".

He died on 13 September 2019 following a battle with cancer.

Success of Milford Village Pantomime!

A few words from Brenda Evans, Director of the Milford Village Pantomime:

A big thank you to everyone involved with “Sleeping Beauty” and to our audiences who were such a pleasure to entertain. The village has been abuzz with compliments and many people have said it was just what they needed after the last two years – a good laugh and lots of fun!

One of the highlights was “The Twelve Weeks of Lockdown Song” so we have now put it on YouTube so that you can enjoy it again.

To view video, please click here.

The pantomime is such a popular community event that every performance was sold out Not only does it provide top quality entertainment to audiences but it brings people together as volunteers in cast and crew who make lasting friendships. As one volunteer put it “It has changed my life”. It involves the local dance school, village children and adults and draws upon the multi talents and generosity of the inhabitants of Milford and surrounding areas.

Brenda Evans, Director

Friends of NCF supporting Ugandan Village

Did you know that Milford on Sea has a charity that supports a project for one of the largest slum communities in Uganda?

Friends of NCF (Namuwongo Community Foundation) is run by long-term village residents, Matthew & Nicola Brearley. Many in the village will know Nicola, as she was a teacher at the village school for 25 years & is now back again helping out in these Covid times.

The Friends of NCF fundraising goes towards village education of orphans, widows, and the disadvantaged, looking to break the cycle of poverty for some of the most vulnerable in the slums.

Friends of NCF was originally founded as 'Ray of Hope' in 2007 by Steve and Liz Jennings. This occurred after they visited Kampala where there they met some inspirational local Ugandans who had begun a small mission teaching slum children and supporting their families. They returned home determined to help the children and families living in the slum community in Namuwongo and ‘Friends’ was born. This work now continues through Matthew & Nicola and their supporters in the village.

The Friends of NCF supports the project has a primary school, a secondary, student sponsorship in vocational & university education, a medical centre, a social care programme, micro-business programme for vulnerable women, a feeding programme, and more.
