Milford on Sea's GB Para athlete, Simon Heaps is preparing for his last tournament of the year in the World Ability Sport Games in Thailand from 1st to 9th December 2023, where he will attempt to become World Champion in Wheelchair Table Tennis.

Simon is 68 and he has had both of his legs amputated in the last 4 years due to long term Type 1 Diabetes. Although, this does not stop him pursuing his table tennis dream.
All of Simon's appearances for Great Britain are on a self funding basis and he always welcomes, and is grateful for, any type of support, such as; company sponsors, charitable donations, raffles and draw prizes.
