The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal which started on 26th October 2023, now have their the final figures and have announced that they raised £6030.07 from last years appeal.
This is slightly less than the previous year. However, considering the inclement weather it was a good result. This year the organisers introduced a contactless payment machine and a QR code.
Carole Barnett, Milford on Sea's Poppy Appeal Organiser, commented:
The volunteers all seemed to have survived the 'new technology' experience, so this year should be easy!
Thank you to everyone who volunteered in any way with the Poppy Appeal, without you it couldn’t happen.

Become a Poppy Appeal Collector
Milford on Sea resident and local Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Organiser, Carol Barnett is looking for anyone who can lend a hand collecting donations for a couple of hours later this year around October time.
You can do this at a time to suit yourself and for as long as you wish, the usual collecting time is 1 or 2 hours. To find out more, or to volunteer to help out at the time, please contact:

The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal is to remember those who lost their lives on active service in all conflicts; from the beginning of the First World War right up to the present day. The poppy is for remembrance to all those who have served and their families.
