On Friday 25th October 2024, Milford on Sea Tennis and Squash Club hosted their annual Charity Tennis Tournament in aid of Milford on Sea charity, Olivia Inspires.
A cloudy and wet day did not dampen the enthusiasm, as twenty four players entered the tournament and enjoyed competing in teams of four. The winners once all games had been counted up were Rachel Lewis, Jane Sabin, Joe Robinson and Lynn Osborne.
All of the players also enjoyed a hot lunch, and a raffle prize draw, with prizes donated from numerous local businesses.
The event resulted in £1,855 being raised. This was donated on behalf of the club by event organiser Cathy Simpson to Nigel Burt of Olivia Inspires, a village charity founded by Nigel and his wife Paula.
