Village Art Exhibitions featuring in Hampshire Open Studios

Hampshire Open Studios is back again this year where local artists & craft studios will be open on dates from the Saturday 17th August to Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2024. 

The event features many artists from Milford on Sea and the surrounding New Forest area. Local village events to enjoy are listed below:

Keyhaven Artists' Summer Art Exhibition

Saturday 10th August until Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2024. 10am to 4pm.

The six local Milford on Sea artists exhibiting are Shaun Stevens: Watercolours, local scenes & giftware. Sue Page: Semi-precious gemstone jewellery. Kate Smith: New Forest Lino Printmaker, Lucy Bramley: Fused glass, jewellery, and giftware. Sally Ovenden: Ceramics inspired by nature. and Rachel Palmer: Ceramic sculpture and pottery.

Everyone is invited to come along to simply enjoy viewing the art, and if you fancy, you can buy some artwork to brighten your home.

Refreshments available to visitors in aid of Milford & Keyhaven Sea Scouts.

Kate Danby Exhibition

Friday 23rd August until Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2024. 10am to 4pm.

Church Hill Studio: Kate draws her inspiration and ideas from coastal and country scenes, and she works mainly in oils.

Four Artist Exhibition

Saturday 17th August & Sunday 18th August 2024. 10am to 4pm.

Thursday 22nd August to Monday 26th August 2024. 10am to 4pm.

Vibrant paintings, prints and cards with an eclectic mix of subjects from four painters inspired by the local coast and more.

Featured Artists: Heather Jolliffe, Jane Andrews, Claire Ferrar, and Hilary Linda.

Eileen & Peter Sey Exhibition

Saturday 17th August & Monday 26th August 2024. 10am to 4pm.

Eileen, Paintings inspired by natural forms of landscapes & coastlines, ranging from representational to abstract in acrylics & oils, textiles.

Peter, Paintings in acrylics, pen & ink prints, local views.

All Saints' Church Hall Art Exhibition

Saturday 17th August & Monday 26th August 2024. 10am to 4.30pm.

Featuring local artists: Christine Calder, David Comley, Joyce Grainger, Janet Wheat, Mary Williams ARBSA. 

A range of styles using all media including paint, ink, mixed media, textiles, wood and craft in which we express our delight in colour, pattern and form. 

If possible, tea and homemade cake served in aid of charity

Splinters Art Exhibition

Saturday 17th August & Monday 26th August 2024. 10am to 4pm. (Except BH until 4pm)

Featuring local artists: Enid Freshwater, Cathy Beggs, Jo Britton, Gill Stopher, Barbara Rousseau, Sheila Thompson, M’eudail Latham & Ann Warren. 

Splinters are are a group of artists who meet regularly to paint & exchange ideas, working in all media and subject matter.
