Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your community? Do you have skills and experience in governance, finance, legal, HR, or fundraising? If so, we need you!

About Us: We are 15th Milford and Keyhaven Scout Group a vibrant and active Beaver and Cubs Group located in Keyhaven. Our mission is to empower young people to develop skills for life through fun, adventure, and community service. We are part of the worldwide Scouting movement, dedicated to nurturing future leaders and responsible citizens.

The Role: We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees. As a trustee, you will play a crucial role in the governance and strategic direction of our Scout Group. Your contributions will help ensure we provide the best possible experience for our young members. Our current Trustees are looking to hand over the reins to the following roles.

· Chairperson
· Treasurer
· Fundraiser

Training and support will be provided to ensure new trustees can transition over several months.

Responsibilities:
Attend and actively participate in quarterly trustee meetings.
Provide oversight and ensure financial stability and compliance.
Contribute to fundraising and community engagement efforts.
Support the strategic planning and development of the group.
Support our Beaver and Cubs leadership team.
Act as an ambassador for our Scout Group within the community.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience in governance, finance, legal, HR, or fundraising.
Strong commitment to the values and mission of the Scout Group.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to think strategically and provide sound judgment.
Enthusiasm for working with and supporting young people.

Time Commitment:
Attend quarterly trustee meetings.
Participate in occasional events and sub-committee meetings.
Estimated time commitment: 4/8 hours per month.

About Scouting

Scouting, also known as the Scout Movement, is open to all boys and girls in various age groups:
  • Squirrels: For 4 to 6 years
  • Beavers: For 6 to 8 years
  • Cubs: For 8 to 10½ years
  • Scouts: For 10½ to 14 years
Whether a child becomes a Beaver, a Cub, or a Scout, all groups are preparing young people with skills for life.

Scouting is a worldwide youth social movement employing the Scout method, a program of informal education with an emphasis on practical outdoor activities, including camping, woodcraft, aquatics, hiking, backpacking, and sports.
