Christmas Dining in Milford on Sea

08 April 2024

Choralia Milford Spring Concert coming soon

Milford on Sea's popular chamber choir, Choralia Milford features singers from the village, as well as a loyal local following. The choir's next performance will be their Spring Concert ‘Eternal Light’ at 7pm on 20th April 2024 at St Mary Magdalene Church, New Milton.

Although we normally only feature events in the village, we make an expectation here due to the choirs' close association with Milford on Sea.

This 40-strong chamber choir, will be singing ‘Eternal Light – A Requiem’ by Howard Goodall. Goodall is perhaps best known for his highly popular  television work such as ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ and ‘Mr Bean’! However, his ‘Eternal Light’ is fast gaining a strong reputation as a choral work of significance.

The concert programme also includes works by other modern composers, such as Karl Jenkins’ ‘Adiemus’, Eric Whitacre’s ‘Sleep’ and ‘The Seal Lullaby’, Bob Chilcott’s Irish Blessing, and more.  The choir will be conducted by their Musical Director Phil Daish-Handy.

This concert is in support of Oxfam.

Tickets £15 from The Bridge Box Office (Milford on Sea Community Centre), online at www.choraliamilford.org.uk, from the Oxfam Shop New Milton, and on the door.
