Discover the history of Milford on Sea

If you are interested in the history of Milford on Sea, and if you would also like to take the opportunity to meet new people, then it is worth considering joining Milford on Sea Historical Record Society (MOSHRS).

MOSHRS have two more meetings, featuring the talks below, before the end of the year:

28th September 2023:
A Journey through Time – Milford Now and Then.
The speaker will be Chris Hobby, the MOSHRS Chairman,

The 30th November 2023: 
Indian Forces in the New Forest.
The speaker will be Nick Saunders.

Both will be held in All Saints' Church Hall at 7pm for 7.30pm start.

About Milford on Sea Historical Record Society 

The Milford on Sea Historical Record Society was founded on the 25th January 1909 and is the oldest historical society in Hampshire.

MOSHRS meet 5 times a year where you can hear an interesting historical talk and meet people from across the village. There is also an Occasional Magazine and annual visits to places of interest. Membership is just £10pp pa. 

The society has an excellent website with an extensive archive of nearly 10,000 records and historical pictures featuring our village history. 

MOSHRS is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers.
