Friends of Hurst Castle Photographic Competition

The Friends of Hurst Castle have opened their Photographic Competition, which will take place during June and July.

The competition is open to all members, and if you are not a member of the Friends of Hurst Castle it only costs from £12 per year to join. Then, not only can you enjoy all of the membership benefits, but you can also enter the photographic competition.

The competition is free to enter, and open to photographers of all ages amongst the Friends of Hurst Castle members, and their families, excepting those nine individuals currently serving on the committee who will make up the panel of judges.

Twelve winning Hurst Castle themed photos will be chosen to illustrate the one-off 2024 Friends of Hurst Castle Calendar, which will be gifted to members to say a special ‘Thank You’ for the loyal support given by the Friends.

If you would like to find out more about the photographic competition, or become a member, please email trjhayne@gmail.com. Closing date for entries: 1st August 2023.

About the Friends of Hurst Castle

The Friends is a local support group to Hurst Castle, providing help in any way they can – which over the years has included enhancement of the building, mounting information panels and displays, guiding visitors and research.

The Friends of Hurst Castle are always happy to welcome new members, friends and volunteers. You can just enjoy news from Hurst Castle, and social days out, or get as involved as you wish.

The Friends of Hurst Castle also publish a regular newsletter; Hurst Tidings, which celebrated its 100th edition in 2022. As well as news about the castle, it features articles that range from history to the environment, as well as coverage of activities and events organised by the Friends.

Annual Subscriptions:
Single: £12 per year
Joint: £19 per year: Two adults at one address.
Family; £30 per year: Two adults at one address, and their children or grandchildren aged 17 and under.
Please Note:
Only three children may be taken into the castle per visit.  Additional children will of course be welcome, at the current entry fee of £4 per child aged 5-17, while children under five remain free of charge.

If you would like to become a member, please email trjhayne@gmail.com
