A romantic true story from our dowdy postwar past told with terrific warmth and idealism, and irresistible storytelling. It’s a tale of star-crossed lovers, a bigoted British government, a story of imperialism, bulling, and Westminster functionaries passing off their taboo horror of inter-racial marrying as a matter of realism and political expediency.
All the movies and screenings in the Community Centre have 60 comfortable seats arranged cabaret style around small tables – this makes sure everyone has a good view and a place to put their drinks. Bar Open.
Book early to avoid disappointment – sadly seats cannot be guaranteed if you just turn up on the door.
