At her first England Golf Competition 13 year old Ellie, with a handicap of 7, scored 168 gross over 36 testing holes on lightning greens at the beautiful Hawkstone Park Golf Club (home to Sandy Lyle in the 1980’s) in the Midlands U16 Amateur Strokeplay Championships on Tuesday missing the cut by 5 shots.

On Wednesday she entered her “golf zone” & shot 79 gross with 9 pars and 2 birdies to score 37 points in the Girls U16 Stableford Competition.
She came 2nd, losing out on count back on the very last hole! With a CSS of 74 a healthy handicap cut is anticipated.
Ellie made some super new friends, learned loads about England Golf and can’t wait for her next competition - the Dorset Ladies County Championship at Knighton Heath Golf Club.
Home golf club is Barton on Sea where she is coached by Head Professional Pete Rodgers & is a member of their competitive Junior Academy.
She is a member of Dorset U18 1st team and current U18 Hampshire Handicap County Champion.
