New Blue Horizon for Milford

A new venture has opened its doors in Milford on Sea, - the Blue Horizon Restaurant.

Located above The Marine on the seafront, this new restaurant with offer formal dining, whilst The Marine itself will continue to provide a brasserie and cafe style menu.

The man behind the new venture is Stephen Caunter, and he will be found in the dining room daily. Stephen, previously worked with Richard Thompson, the owner of The Marine, and prior to that Stephen was a partner in the 2 Rosette Lord Bute Restaurant and Hotel in Highcliffe.

The Restaurant Manager, Ryan Smith has​ been trained by and worked with Stephen since 2009. They first worked together at the 4 star Mirimar Hotel in Bournemouth and then the 2 rosette and 4 star Captains Club Hotel and Spa in Christchurch.

The Head Chef is James Gunn who has experience in working in the kitchens of The Dorchester in London. Having been taught by some excellent chefs, he now aspires to bring fine dining to Milford on Sea at the Blue Horizon Restaurant

The Blue Horizon Restaurant is now offering a Set Menu at lunchtimes from Wednesday to Saturday with ​2 courses at £15, or ​3 courses at £20. A 3 course traditional Sunday Lunch is available for £25. A Diner a la carte menu is served from 6pm to 9pm.

Throughout July the restaurant is offering a glass of prosecco or fruit punch with lunch or dinners from Tuesday to Friday.
