3 Go Mad at The Cave this Friday

3 Go Mad will be playing live at The Cave from 9pm on Friday 12th July 2024. Entry is free for all live music evenings at The Cave, and everyone is welcome.

So, go along to enjoy the music over a relaxing glass of your favourite wine, a speciality gin & tonic, or a premium beer, - and if you fancy, grab a tasty plate of meat, fish or vegetarian Tapas.

David is a local singer & guitarist, music teacher and also in the band Sunstroke. A popular & regular act enjoyed at The Cave, playing his eclectic range of tracks spreading from the 1960’s to the modern era will have you up on your feet and singing along.



Friday 2nd August 2024: 9pm to 11pm - Jon Bailey

Jon is a solo acoustic musician from Verwood. who enjoys entertaining covers from the 1990’s & 2000’s with 'good old vintage material thrown in.

Tuesday 6th August 2024: 5pm - Cigar and Spirits Evening

* Welcome cocktail & cigar on arrival.
* James Maher from Hunters & Frankau 
(Cigar Importers since 1790), will talk about the history and world of cigars.
* Tom, head distiller & co-owner at Lymington based 820 Spirits, will explain how he came up with the drinks for the evening.
* Followed by a second Cuban cigar with matching Rum spirit by820 Spirits.
* Q & A Session with your hosts.

The cigar experience will be held on the Village Green, and later in the Cave.

Cigar Experience Tickets: £40pp. Bookings now being taken.

Wednesday 7th August 2024: 8pm to 10pm: Marky Dawson

Marky is a charismatic talented pianist showman with a huge voice which can cover musical theatre jazz and rock. He has a real flair for entertaining and an ability to get his crowds singing.

Friday 16th August 2024: 9pm to 11pm: Emma Hardy

Emma is a local singer, songwriter, guitarist & musical theatre performer. She played the part of Doralee in ‘9 to 5 The Musical’ at The Regent Theatre.

She is a favourite every time she performs in the village, and she will have you glued to every word in an eclectic mix of contemporary songs.



Tuesday 20th August 2024: South African Wine Night

The South African evening will be hosted by Ronda Estate in Stellenbosch.

Taste wines from Guardian Peak and Rust en Vrede with food pairings for each wine.

£25/person. Start time is 7pm. Bookings essential as limited availability.


Wednesday 21st August 2024: 8pm to 10pm: Acoustix

Acoustix are a local upbeat four piece acoustic band, delivering infectious three-part harmonies to classics to get your feet tapping.

Needles Eye Café Awarded 5-Star Hygiene Rating

Following a recent inspection, the Needles Eye Café have been awarded the highest level, 5-Star Hygiene Rating

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) inspects businesses across the country, assessing hygiene and safety, structural compliance and confidence in management, the team came out with flying colours.

The café of course has spectacular views of The Needles and across Christchurch Bay, but did you know that it is also licensed to sell beers, wines & spirits?

Beer brews on draft include Neck Oil IPA, Brixton lager, Victoria Malaga lager, and Orchard Thieves cider.

The Needles Eye Café on Milford on Sea is the perfect place to refuel for walkers and visitors to Milford on Sea beach & promenade.

The café serves all day breakfasts, to hot lunches with traditional favourites including fish & chips and burgers, plus jacket potatoes, soup, savoury pastries, sandwiches, baguettes, paninis and salads. 

There are also speciality coffees and fruit teas, hot chocolate, milkshakes, draft & bottled beers, glasses of wine and a tasty children's menu.

For the afternoon, there is a range of homemade cakes and great value afternoon cream teas. If the sun is shining, who can resist a New Forest ice cream.

The menu features good home cooked food with high quality ingredients, using local suppliers wherever possible. Only free range eggs are served, the beans are Heinz, there are homemade fresh cakes, rock cakes and scones are baked on the premises daily, and the bean to cup coffee is made from Arabica beans.

The Needles Eye Café is open all year round, is fully licensed and also offers takeaway snacks, meals and drinks. 

Dogs are more than welcome, free WIFI is available and the café has a five star hygiene rating.

Choralia Milford performing Songs from the Shows

Milford on Sea's popular chamber choir, Choralia Milford have a loyal local following, and features singers from the village.

The choir have announced that their next performance will be their Summer Concert ‘Songs from the Shows’ at 4pm on Sunday 14th July 2024.

This will be held in Lymington Baptist Church, 10 New Street, Lymington SO41 9BJ. (opposite St Barbe Museum).

Although we normally only feature events in the village, we make an expectation here due to the choirs' close association with Milford on Sea.

This impressive 40-strong chamber choir, will be singing a programme which includes songs from West Side Story, Les Misérables, and Phantom of the Opera.

The choir will be conducted by their Musical Director Phil Daish-Handy.

The concert will be in support of Oxfam.

About Choralia Milford

Choralia Milford is a friendly chamber choir that works hard to create high quality performances of eclectic repertoire. The choir is based in Milford on Sea and was formed as the UK came out of Covid Lockdown in 2021.

Comprising of around 40 members, this unique choir has developed a broad range of classical and contemporary repertoire, including world premieres of local composers’ music.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings in All Saints' Church, Milford on Sea. New singers always welcome.

Musical Director

Philip Daish Handy has entertained audiences across the world. Philip came to prominence after winning the prestigious Music at Beaulieu Competition, leading to numerous performances and several recordings.

Philip founded and is Artistic Director of the Nova Foresta Classical players. With his orchestra, Philip has performed numerous concertos, and has collaborated with numerous choirs and choral societies to form choral extravaganzas, ‘come and sing’ events, candlelight concerts and Christmas concerts throughout the UK. He is also Festival Director of the Lymington Choral Society and Voices of the Forest.
