Date change for Retro Grooves at The Wash House

Retro Grooves, the vinyl only mobile discothèque, normally spin the records at The Wash House on Every Last Sunday in the Month.

However, due to a team members wedding, rather than playing on Sunday 29th September, they will be spinning the turntables this Sunday 22nd September 2024 from 5pm to 8pm.

Come along to an evening of the most popular retro classics, anthems, and party music, as John plays tracks from the best bands of the 1960s to late 1980s.

As Retro Grooves, the vinyl only mobile discothèque, spin the turntables, all music is played in classic style on original vinyl with authentic sounds from the eras. A mix of pop, soul, Motown, disco, funk, and R&B tracks ensure a good time and bring back great memories.

At the same time, enjoy a drink as you step back in time with classic retro sounds from your past.

Free entry, but booking is strongly advised, as these are very popular events.

About The Coastal Bakery

During lockdown in 2020, local resident Amanda Maidment, a very talented cake maker, baked cakes for the local doctor's surgery as a thank you.

This led to a pop-up bakery on her driveway. Then, during the height of lockdown, she started The Little Cake Company and delivered delicious homemade cakes from her home.

She even developed a special cream tea for people in the village to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day at home in May 2020.

Such was the popularity of her baking, that in January 2021 she took the plunge and opened The Coastal Bakery in Milford on Sea high street, much to the delight of her many old and new customers.
