About Probus Club in Milford on Sea
Did you know, Milford on Sea hosts two Probus Club?
The Milford on Sea Probus Club provides interesting meetings and friendship for retired and semi-retired men.
Members come from a wide range of working endeavours, but whilst happily enjoying fewer responsibilities, they are also sometimes missing the social camaraderie from having colleagues. Many of them have relocated to this wonderful community at the end of their careers, so wish to form a new circle of friends.
Starting with coffee at 10.30am, there is then a guest speaker, usually presenting on local or topical interests. Drinks and conversation are then followed by lunch. The dress code is smart casual and the meeting usually closes around 2pm.
The current cost of membership is a joining fee of c.£25 and annual subscription of c.£25. This covers the costs for speakers and members pay at the time for their lunch at a current cost at around £30 which includes coffee on arrival and a two course lunch with coffee after. The menu provides a choice between a meat, fish or vegetarian dishes.
Separate social activities are arranged by members informally, and there is an annual dinner with partners.
New members are always welcome.
