Local Advertiser & Times reporter, Roz Waters has published an article regarding the questionable future of the village's Millennium Clock.
The clock sits above the Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue charity shop opposite The Smugglers Inn in Keyhaven Road and is currently not working.
The Parish Council is now faced with the difficult decision as to whether they should fund the costly repair and introduce regular maintenance, when their limited fund are under demand from a range of other worthy causes.
It is understood that the Parish Council will be contacting householders to canvass their views.
Should you wish to express your thoughts, the Parish Council's contact details are at the foot of this article.
In the article, Roz also answer a question I had mulled over for a while. At present you can clearly the fitting marks where the Millennium Clock once sat in the eaves of the building. I had always wondered when and why the clock was moved to different position on the building.
Roz explains: The Millennium Clock was originally installed on the eaves of the building but following a 2013 fundraising campaign £3,000 was raised to relocate it to a more visible setting.

Just wondering if anyone thought of contacting "BBC Repair Shop" for help with repairing the clock? Maybe worth doing this 😀
