Discover What's On at Milford Library

Milford on Sea Community Library offers a lot more than you may realise and they are always looking for ways to support the village community:

Everyone is welcome to come into the library to relax in the space anytime that it is open and without charge.

Specific activities include:

Knit & Natter: Every Monday: 2pm to 4pm. Kitting for Charity in the Village Hall. 

Pop In Café: Every Thursday: 10am to 12noon. Drop in for an hour or so to meet new people and friendly faces. (Run by Churches Together) 

Warm Space: Every Wednesday: 10am to 12noon. Just drop in to enjoy magazines, jigsaws, occasional craft and social chat.

Storytime: Every Thursday: 10am to 11am. Bring the little ones to hear a children's story. Free entry.

Community Reading Group: 3rd Tuesday of Every Month at 1pm. Everyone welcome.

Book Sale: Saturday 14th January - 10am to 11.30am. Free Entry.

Tea & Quiz: 25th January - 2pm to 4pm.  £3 including refreshments. Everyone welcome.

Jill Neill has given us an update of other things happening in the library. Who knew that they are so active!

"Other Community links meant that in the autumn we hosted the Rainbows for a ‘Reading Badge’ visit; the first time after Covid, so lovely to see them back.

The charity concert by Straight Banana on 21st December was just amazing. People were leaving with smiles on their faces, and I would like to say thank you so much to all our readers who supported the Straight Banana Festive Entertainment; a memorable afternoon.

Year R of Milford on Sea School are coming on two afternoons in March as they used to; they walk down and spend an hour at the library with numeracy, literacy activities and a story corner; providing an introduction to the library. If I get organised , they might even have a booklet to take away! ”
