Successful Plant Fair

Milford Gardeners’ Club would like to thank everyone who supported their Plant Fair on Milford on Sea village green last Saturday.

It was the club's 20th fair and the most successful yet, raising over £1900 for local charities. (Lymington Hospital Friends Appeal and Força - Strength against Cancer.)

Milford Gardeners’ Club is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. They usually meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Milford Community Centre (doors open 7pm).

New members are always welcome, and you can find out more about the club, their programme, other activities, and how to join at:

Next year, the Milford on Sea Plant Fair returns on Saturday 20 May 2023.

PS: After 20 years of helping to organise the Plant Fair, Jenny Spenser is stepping down and handing the organisational reigns to Sharie Perl.

Jenny was a former chairman of the Gardeners' Club, in addition to being a trustee of various Milford on Sea charitable organisations including the Community Centre.

Our thanks go to Jenny for all she has done to help people across the village and best wishes for all she chooses to do in the future.

About Milford Gardeners' Club

Milford Gardeners' Club began life 25 years ago in 1997.

We exist for the gardeners of Milford on Sea, providing a succession of interesting speakers and demonstrations for our members. We also try to function as a social and meeting place for like-minded gardeners and everyone is welcome to visit. If we don’t make your visit enjoyable please let us know!

Meetings are normally held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm in Milford Community Centre, Sea Road SO41 0PH.

We are non-profit making and any events that raise money support local charities. Over the years we have raised over £35,000 and some of the recipients have been Oakhaven Hospice, First Opportunities, Countryside Education Trust, Rose Road, Mayfield Nurseries, Honeypot, Roundabout, Furzey Gardens, Practical Action, Spana, British Kidney Association, Milford Conservation Volunteers, Barry Phillips Youth Trust, Milford Community Library and Bumblebee Conservation Trust. We are eternally grateful for the help and support given by the members to making this Club such a success.
