The popular New Forest Organ Society meets on the last Tuesday of the month at All Saints' Church in Milford on Sea, and on Sunday 26th April, they hosted a lunch and concert for 200 people in support of Hounds for Heroes.
The founder of the charity, Allen Parten, attended the event accompanied by his two dogs, EJ and Rookie. Allen gave a talk about the charity and what it means to thousands of severely disabled service men and women who get friendship and help from the highly trained dogs.

The event was held at Hoburne Bashley in New Milton where the lunch was excellent and at the end of the afternoon a cream tea was enjoyed by all.
Directly after lunch the concert was played by the amazing organist and musician, Pete Shaw who played a wonderful and varied programme of music on his KORG PA3X special keyboard set up.
The Society boasts a large number of talented people who donated items to the very successful raffle. This included two wonderful watercolour paintings which raised extra money for the charity. A very popular tombola added to the funds.
A very happy and successful afternoon was enjoyed by everyone which resulted in the magnificent amount of £2,513 being raised for Hounds for Heroes.
