Kayaking for Crohn's Disease

John Harcombe, son-in-law of Milford residents Chris and Wendy Thomas, is undertaking the challenge of kayaking the 100km round the Isle of Wight this Friday 8th July.

Starting at Sturt Pond at 5.30am, he aims to circumnavigate the island within 24 hours as he fundraises for research into Crohn's Disease. John's eldest son, 14 year old Alex, suffers from this debilitating disease, for which there is currently no cure. Alex has subsequently missed a lot of school, and struggles to enjoy activities in which his peers participate.

  1. It was fantastic to see that John completed his round the Island kayak marathon raising funds for research towards finding a cure for this very debilitating disease. Well done John!
