Urgent repairs to Beachfront Steps near Needles Eye Café

NFDC have announced that urgent repairs to the seawall at Milford on Sea have started. The section concerned is on the beachfront steps near the Needles Eye Café:

"Starting today, we’re undertaking urgent small-scale repairs to the concrete seawall at Milford on Sea, which are expected to last approximately one week.

Recent inspections have identified a drop in beach levels along this section of the frontage, which has led to the exposure of metal in a worn section of the seawall.

Weather and tidal conditions are favourable this week, providing an appropriate window to carry out the necessary works. As the repairs will be small in scale, we anticipate that disruption will be relatively limited.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation while these essential works are carried out to maintain the safety and integrity of the coastal defences."
