Jess and Stu at The Natural Step are celebrating one year since starting their business in their studio at Braxton Gardens. They are now looking to grow their team and offer more services from our boutique wellness & fitness space.

Easter Sunday Roast Dinner at Sammy's

Sammy's Café will be serving their tasty, monthly Sunday Roast Lunch at lunchtime on Easter Sunday 20th April 2025. 

Bookings are now being taken.


The meal includes one type of meat from a selection, roast potatoes, three veg, gravy and a homemade Yorkshire pudding. 

Regular Roast Dinner: £17pp - or go big for £20 which includes all the above plus pig in blanket and sage and onion stuffing.

Extras: Pig in blanket £2.50, Sage an onion stuffing £2, Cauliflower cheese £2.50, and Yorkshire pudding £1.50

Vegan and gluten free roast dinner options available.

Sittings: 12noon, 1:30pm and 3pm and the table is available for 1.5 hours.

Sewing Classes Coming by Sew by Heart

Genevieve Black, a highly experienced sewing teacher, will soon be moving into Milford on Sea village, and she is looking to set up sewing classes for all that may be interested.

Genevieve has been sewing for nearly 45 years and has taught many sewing classes in South Africa. One lady she taught from an impoverished background now actually supports her family with her little sewing business.

Her plan is to soon start with a 6-week Beginner Class Course.

Other classes that Genevieve plans to be offering include basic quilting, and cushion making. 

There will also be Craft Workshops, which will run in the mornings, evenings or whole Saturdays depending on the level of interest.

Record-Breaking Season for Milford on Sea Tennis and Squash Club

Milford on Sea Tennis and Squash Club has just completed an extraordinary winter season in the Dorset Tennis Leagues, securing a record-breaking performance. The club, located on Lucerne Road in Milford, fielded 12 teams across various divisions in the winter 2024/2025 season, and their efforts have truly paid off.

The standout achievement of the season was the success of both the Men’s and Ladies’ 1st teams, who triumphed in Dorset Division 1, defeating some of the county’s most established and competitive clubs. The Ladies’ teams showed their remarkable strength in depth, with the 2nd team clinching the top spot in Division 2 and the 3rd team claiming victory in Division 3.

In addition to these incredible victories, several other teams delivered exceptional performances. The Mixed 1st team earned a hard-fought second place in Division 1, while the Mixed 2 team earned promotion to Division 1. The Ladies’ 4th team also came incredibly close, finishing as runners-up, narrowly losing out to Christchurch Tennis Club.

Head coach Dan Hitchins expressed his pride in the team’s achievements: “It’s been an amazing season, and to have so many successes is fantastic for the club, especially given that we’re not the largest club and have a relatively small catchment area for players. This success is a direct reflection of the dedication and hard work put in by our players every week.”

Milford on Sea Tennis and Squash Club continues to build on its reputation as a welcoming and friendly club. Offering tennis, squash & racketball memberships, along with a coaching programme for all ages, the club invites anyone interested in joining to come and experience the camaraderie and excellence that has driven their recent record-breaking success.

With such a remarkable season behind them, Milford on Sea Tennis and Squash Club looks set to continue their winning ways in future seasons.

No64 Pizza Prepare for Summer Season on their Birthday

Three years ago, No64 Pizza was founded by Glenn & Clare, and since then, their charming  converted horse trailer has attended many local events and parties serving delicious handmade pizza.

Glen has sent us a review of their journey so far, and plans for the coming season:

"It’s hard to believe it, but No64 Pizza is about to celebrate its third birthday, and what a wild, dough-filled ride it’s been! What started as a lovingly restored horse trailer, and a dream of sharing great pizza, has grown into a much-loved part of the local food scene (and a regular feature in party photos all over the New Forest).

In just three years, we’ve had the honour of serving our pizzas at some amazing events: Dogstival, Milford Music Festival, Sway Carnival & Fête, New Forest Fruit Company, New Milton Rugby Club (junior tournaments), Keyhaven Yacht Club, Flack Manor Brewery, The Pig Brewery, and we’re now proud to be a preferred supplier at exclusive venues like Pylewell Park and Palais des Vaches.

This year, you can catch us regularly at our residency at the brilliant Brew Forest in Lymington, and we’re delighted to be back again for Sway Carnival, Sway Fête, New Forest Fruit Company and New Milton Rugby Club. 

There is nothing we love more than being invited back, it’s the biggest compliment we could get (except maybe hearing “that was the best pizza I’ve ever had!”, which we also hear quite a lot, just saying...).

Our real passion is private catering, weddings, parties, anniversaries, and celebrations of all kinds.

That’s where No64 Pizza comes to life. Every pizza is made by hand, in front of your guests, using the best fresh Italian ingredients. Our dough? Handmade. Our tomato sauce? A top-secret house recipe. Our ovens? Gozney stone-fired beauties, built into an original, professionally converted Sinclair horse trailer. She’s not just functional, she’s fabulous.

And while we love feeding a crowd, we’ve never been about slick marketing. We don’t do advertising, and we’re famously terrible at social media — we built this little business on reputation alone.

Gong Bath with Solar Soul

Solar Soul led by Terri Spencer is holding another Gong Bath on Sunday 13th April 2025 from 11am until 12.30pm in The Studio at The Bridge, in Sea Road, Milford on Sea.

A sound bath with Solar Soul is never your average gong bath.

Terri explains that her sessions facilitate deep healing, channelling through from her connections to many of the highest realms and of course, pure Source energy. She holds a safe space for you to completely relax and let go, to experience the transformation that is needed uniquely for you at that specific time.

Community-based Support and Activities for Adults with Additional Needs

Active Opportunities is a new local business providing community-based support and activities for adults with disabilities, autism, or additional needs in Milford on Sea and surrounding areas.

Active Opportunities is owned and run by Ela Taylor and she offers a variety of support and engaging activities to help individuals improve confidence and independence whilst having fun. 

The service includes day trips, social support, physical activities and more, on a one-to-one or small group basis.

Ela is also looking to set up links with other local providers, services, and hubs in the local community. These would be organisations that provide information, support, and advice for people with additional needs.

Ela has been working in social care and community support work since 2015. Her company, Active Opportunities, provide community-based support and activities for adults with a range of special needs and conditions. 

She has an enhanced DBS Check with public liability insurance. Her qualifications are a sports degree, care certificate, stroke certificate, team leader apprenticeship qualification, as well as relevant moving and assisting, first aid and safeguarding training. 

Ela also registered with NACAS, which is the National Association for Care and Support workers.

Trials for Milford on Sea Youth FC Under 12 Team

Milford on Sea Youth Football Club is holding trials for Under 12 team squad from 6pm to 7pm on Tuesday 15th April 2025.

The trials will be held at Barnes Lane Recreation Ground and are in preparation for the 2025/26 season.

New players welcome.

This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic group of players and to develop your game with help of coach Callum who is also part of the New Forest Football Academy.

With the club's affiliation to Bashley FC and partnership with New Forest Football Academy they have a strong pathway from youth football all the way up to 1st team mens football.

About Milford on Sea Youth FC
 
The village football club was founded in May 2002 by three local ladies, Sarah Elliott, Sara Jeffcock and Hilary Short.

The club caters for girls and boys from ages under 8 to under 16 and competes in the Bournemouth Youth Football League on Sundays throughout the season in mini, 9-a-side and 11-a-side soccer.

The club has a Hampshire FA accreditation and is linked to Bashley FC, giving the U18 & U21 boys the best chance to progress from youth to senior football at an established senior football club.

The squad trains early evening on Thursdays, and play games every Sunday in the Bournemouth Youth League.

Everyone is welcome and new players are always invited.

Medical Aid International Talk at MenMeet

MenMeet have a very interesting speaker coming up. Tim Beacon will be talking about Medical Aid International at their next meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday 10th April 2025 at The Beach House.

It doesn't cost anything and any local men are invited to go along. 

You are invited to join us to hear about the remarkable work of Medial Aid International, supplying vital medical equipment to countries with limited resources.  Tim Beacon, the CEO, will explain how from small beginnings, 20 years ago, they have developed a social enterprise company delivering long-term sustainable change.
