Take the whole family to the Beat the Family Quiz at Milford on Sea Club on Friday 15th December at 7pm.

7pm start with quiz hosted by Quiz Master, Bob West. 

Bring your whole family & friends, or come on your own for a fun night.

About Milford on Sea Club

This village family friendly and relaxed social club is open 7 days a week and everyone is welcomed.

You can enjoy live football and other sports on Sky & TNT Sports, snooker & pool tables, darts, and a jukebox. There is also a well-stocked bar with guest ales and excellent club drink prices.

Regular activities include: Weekly Bingo on Sunday's & Thursdays, Tuesday Free Pool Night, Sunday Meat Draw, Quiz Nights, Discos, Live Music and Entertainment Nights.

Non-members welcome to visit the club for a £2 entry fee. Just pop in and see for yourself.

Prestigious Photography Award for Graham

Talented local photographer Graham Wiffen has won the SS Shieldhall Photography Competition 2023.

His image was taken at the Bournemouth Air Show 2023 and featured the SS Shieldhall with two Red Arrows passing above.

Congratulations to Graham for capturing this special moment.

Christmas Events at Everton Nurseries

As Christmas approaches, Everton Nurseries has a lot going on the celebrate the festive season.

Signed Christmas Concert 

12.30pm and 1.30pm on Saturday 16th December 2023.

Come along and watch or join in with The Village Voices Choir singing some festive carols, where the songs will also be performed using a British Sign Language signer.

The singers will also be joined by some clever Hearing Dogs & their recipients.

The signing of the Christmas carols will be led by Nancy Weatherson.

Large turnout for Thai Buffet & Experience Thailand Talk

A full house gathered to enjoy a Thai Buffet & an Experience Thailand Talk in Britannia Thai at lunchtime on Thursday 23rd November at Britannia Thai, Milford on Sea.

During the afternoon Sara Rigby from travel experts, Not Just Travel guided people through a thrilling adventure and gave an in-depth talk on discovering Thailand, showing some spectacular views and variety of destinations that Thailand has to offer.

The travel enthusiasts that paid just £10 for a ticket enjoyed a special Thai Buffet provided by the chefs at the Britannia Thai.

A lucky diner also won £200 worth of holiday vouchers in a free draw.

Christmas Lights & Carols on the Green this Friday

The wonderful annual event to kick off the festive season, the Christmas Lights Switch On and Carols on the Green will take place on Milford on Sea village green at 6pm this Friday 1st December 2023.

At the same time there will be Late Night Shop Opening and an array of eateries open for everyone to enjoy.

Father Christmas will also be in Santa’s Grotto for the kids to visit.

Following the Christmas Lights Switch On, a number of carols will be sung by the Milford Primary School choir and also Milford on Sea’s resident choir: Total Voice. 

Everyone will be encouraged to join in, to create a truly magical atmosphere. 

Carol sheets will be handed out that evening.

For those using Facebook, please regularly check the page ‘Magical Milford at Christmas’, as this is where all the Carols and their verses will be listed, and also kept up to date with news of all that is happening.

Free parking will be available in the Sea Road car park all day.

As in previous years, the High Street will be closed from Boots the Chemist to The Coastal Bakery for the evening.

Busiest Friday of the year!

Christmas Lights Takeaway Stand at Ray's Italian Kitchen

After last year's success, Ray's Italian Kitchen are looking forward to having their outside takeaway catering again, which people can enjoy on their way to the Christmas Lights Switch On & Carols on the Green on Friday 1st December 2023. 

Come on down between 4pm to 6.30pm for a tasty takeaway pizza, turkey bap or tomato & basil soup, and then wander down to the village green and enjoy the Christmas carol singing and Christmas lights.

There are also Italian Christmas treats and the chance to buy some Ray's Italian Git Vouchers for the special people in your life.

Not to forget, between 12noon to 2.15pm each lunchtime you can get Two courses for £15, or Three courses for £20.

Festive Fizz Night next Tuesday

The Cave are hosting a Festive Fizz Night on Tuesday 5th December 2023 in aid of the Milford on Sea based NCF Charity.

The evening will start with a welcome glass of fizz, gin, wine or beer, which is included in the entry ticket price.

During the evening there will be nibbles, raffle, music and the Opportunity to buy local Ugandan crafts and NCF gift vouchers.

Also, you can find out about the work the charity are doing in the slums of Namuwongo, and at the same time enjoy the Christmas lights and festive scenes on Milford on Sea village green.

Entry Ticket: £15 with all proceeds going to NCF Charity.
