More Beach Huts devastated by Storm Herminia

The frequent January storms, and most recently, the early February Storm Herminia, have again taken their toll on the beleaguered beach huts at Hordle Cliff.

An article featured in the Daily Mail with a video showing the storm devouring the front beach huts.

The article also said; "Beach hut owners have banded together in a desperate attempt to stop cabins worth £640,000 in total being washed out to sea amid claims the council have abandoned them.

The hutters have spent many hours trying to protect their wooden cabins since they were battered by ferocious seas during Storm Herminia.

The 16 huts, which are valued at up to £40,000 each, were pummeled by huge waves earlier this week after a sea wall was breached on The Solent."

Eddie Rathbone has also captured some intriguing photographs which clearly illustrate the destruction of Milford on Sea beach huts over recent months and years. Swathes of these little seaside beach homes are simply no more.

I wonder how long before they are all gone on that part of the beach?
