Keyhaven Yacht Club are hosting a national open sailing event for 2000 class dinghies (formerly the Laser 2000) which is expected to attract sailors from far and wide.
The 2000 Millennium Open Event on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th July 2024.
The colourful dinghy floatilla should made a great sight for spectators from the shoreline around Keyhaven Harbour and into The Solent.
Early bird booking is before midnight on 28th June 2024 for £35 per entry, thereafter entry will be £40.

About The 2000
A highly successful dinghy class, the 2000 (formerly the Laser 2000) has active sailing club racing fleets and a full open circuit series plus championships, supported by an enthusiastic Class Association.

The 2000 sailboat is also well established as a great training boat within many leading organisations including the British Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force sailing programmes. The perfect transition from training into more advanced techniques and racing. RS Sailing became the licensed manufacturer in 2013 adding many detailed improvements to the 2000 including new moulds and tooling to help set the stage for a new era of Class growth.

The 2000 Class Association
The 2000 Class Association is made up of 2000-dinghy sailors. The 2000, formerly known as the Laser 2000, is an entry-level performance asymmetric sailing dinghy. It is equally suitable for cruisers, families as well as serious racers.
