Milford on Sea Bowls Club were proud to be one of over 600 bowls clubs nationwide involved in The Bowls Big Weekend over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
The doors were laid open to the public, giving access to both traditional bowls activity and fun events on the afternoon of Sunday 26th May 2024.
The event was hosted by volunteers from the club, and a representative from Bowls England, the sport’s governing body, was also in attendance.
Over 30 non-playing locals and visitors of all ages took the opportunity to find out a bit more about what goes on in the sport, and the club were very pleased to receive membership enquiries from a number of those attending.
Additional beginners’ coaching sessions are being planned by the club as a result.
