The first session of the Introduction to British Sign Language Course got off to a very successful start on Monday 25th September, with 13 Milford on Sea residents attending the first Monday session.
A different group of enthusiastic locals then came to the repeat session on Wednesday 27th September 2023.
Nancy was delighted to receive this email after the first Monday session:
I hope I'm not disturbing you but I just wanted to say thank you for a great first session. It was both enjoyable and very beneficial.
Thank you and for all you are doing for the community.
See you next week.
Regards, Amanda"

Just imagine the smiles if you could communicate with, any deaf, or hard of hearing, people you meet.

Few that saw it, will ever forget the stunning and highly emotional dance by Rose Ayling-Ellis, as she perfectly danced in silence on Strictly Come Dancing.
Rose is a big supporter of British Sign Language. She has been deaf since birth and uses BSL herself to communicate with the world.
She & Giovanni became Strictly Come Dancing Champions in 2021, during which they performed 'Silent Symphony', without doubt, the best ever dance on this long-running and much loved show.
