Christmas Dining in Milford on Sea

02 October 2023

Probus Club & More at Newcomers Exhibition on Saturday

The Newcomers Exhibition, at which everyone is welcome, including established residents, is a charming annual community event organised by Ruth Bufton. The event welcomes newcomers to the village, and for them, and locals to discover all of the Milford on Sea Clubs, Societies, Classes, Charities and Events.

This years' the event takes place on Saturday 7th October 2023 in All Saints' Church Hall and it will be an opportunity for people new to the village to meet numerous village exhibitors, including the gents from Milford on Sea Probus Club.

If you are interested in a joining a social group for retired and semi-retired men, please come and meet the Milford on Sea Probus Club. Members come from a wide range of professional, public service and business careers, many of us have relocated to this wonderful community and so have found Probus is a great introduction to a new circle of local friends.

About Milford on Sea Probus Club

Milford on Sea Probus is a club for retired and semi-retired men. They come from a wide range of working endeavours, but whilst happily enjoying fewer responsibilities, they also sometimes are missing the social camaraderie from having colleagues. Many of them have relocated to this wonderful community at the end of their careers, so wish to form a new circle of friends.

Membership provides a network of like minded people in Milford on Sea - with many overlapping current interests; providing the opportunity to put down new roots and find new friendships. New members are always welcome.

They meet at The South Lawn Hotel on the fourth Tuesday each month, starting with coffee at 10.30, followed by a guest speaker, usually presenting on local or topical interests. Drinks and conversation are then followed by lunch.

Separate social activities are arranged by members informally, and we have an annual dinner with partners.

If you would like to find out more, or perhaps come to a meeting and lunch, please contact: Nigel McArthur, Membership Secretary: nmcarthur59@gmail.com
