Last chance to do the Lymington Town Tours 'The Story of Milford' local history walk this year.
- This Sunday: 9th October - Meet on the village green at 11am.
- Voluntary donation of £5 per adult (children go free) for each walker.
The Story of Milford Walk - a guided walk featuring the local history of Milford on Sea.
Daisy Diadem of Newlands Manor |
Stroll through the village of Milford-on-Sea and its lovely wooded Pleasure Grounds while your guide relates how the sleepy hamlet of Milford tried to live down its smuggling days and changed its name to try to rival genteel Eastbourne. Hear the story of the string of pearls seven yards long.
This walk starts on the Village Green and finishes on the cliff top at the Beach House.
NOTE: This is a longer walk than the normal tour length,, taking about 1¾ hours and including some footpaths. The footpath by the Mill Pond and woods are unsuitable for wheelchairs.
