Several Milford on Sea households are generously hosting Ukrainian refugee families and Milford on Sea Tennis and Squash Club want to help.
A number of our village's Ukrainian guests are keen to play tennis and the tennis club committee has decided that as a club they would like to support them.
A newsletter has been sent out to tennis club members explaining the finer points, but they would also like to raise some money for the children of those families to attend a few coaching sessions and holiday clubs with Tennis Coach, Dan Hitchins.As I write, the fundraising is close to the £1000 target, and it would be great to smash through it to provide even more support, and to show that we care about families forced to be so far from their homes.
Anyone wishing to contribute in getting the kids to play at the Tennis Club can do so by clicking here, or dropping a donation in an envelope marked UKRAINE and hand directly to Dan at the club.
