The village defibrillator has been found

Update: 2nd June 2021:

The village defibrillator has been found. The machine was accessed for an emergency but arrived at the scene after the ambulance crew had got there.

In consequence, the machine is understood to have been taken to the hospital with the patient, unused. It then remained on board the ambulance or at its base station. There are now plans to collect it from the Ambulance Station later today and if in good order with pads etc it will be restored to the cabinet for emergency use once again.

Have you seen the village defibrillator?

Last Thursday 27th May around 5.30pm the Southern Central Ambulance Service received a call to request the code to open and remove the defibrillator from its cabinet on the wall of the Coop in the village centre.

Should it have been used in an emergency, we hope whoever needed it is OK. As yet, the user may not had an opportunity to return the defibrillator and efforts are underway to establish its location.

The defibrillator was donated to the village in 2015 by a group of village organisations, including; Milford on Sea Food Week The WI, Parish Council, County Councillor and Milford on Sea Memorial Hospital League of Friends and the Coop kindly gave permission for it to be installed on their side wall.

The Parish council became owners during 2020.

If you know where the defibrillator might be please contact:
