As Covid continues to cause havoc to village life, the annual service of Remembrance and the 11.11.11 village commemorations have had to be cancelled to conform with government instructions. Milford on Sea has always commemorated Remembrance with respect and dignity right across the community. But sadly, this year lockdown is not going to allow any parades or services to take place face to face.
However, The Milford Branch of The Royal British Legion with involvement from the Anglican and Baptist churches has produced a YouTube video of a trunked service which everyone can watch on Sunday 8th November at 2.45pm.
The video also contains views of wreath laying at the "Field of Remembrance" in All Saints' churchyard, The Unknown Sailor's grave, Keyhaven War Memorial and at The Milford War Memorial Hospital. The Names of those who lost their lives in the two World Wars are also being read.
On the appropriate day and time, please click the image below to view the video and join in Remembrance with the Milford on Sea community.
