Representatives of the New Forest Sewing for the NHS & Local Community and Becton Rotary Club assembled once again at Oakhaven Hospice to donate £5,000 to the Hospice. The money being proceeds from the sale of PPE Gowns (£2,000) and Masks / Face Coverings (£3,000).
Special thanks go to Emma McEwen who developed the heat sealing process for the gowns enabling the production rate to meet demand, the ladies at Milford W.I. who made a large proportion of the masks, Becton Rotary for their logistical support and the volunteers of the NF Sewing Group for achieving such a wonderful result.
Jill West, Community Fundraising Manager for Oakhaven said; “Oakhaven would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and this wonderful donation which will help us continue making every moment matter for those under our care”
