Milford on Sea Community Centre have an opportunity to raise funds via LocalGiving.com and their new £1 million Match-funding campaign.
Donations received in a specific time period are doubled. However, they don’t given much notice.
The Community Centre has to apply to be included and selected three areas of specific need and a goal of £21,000.
The areas are:
Youth – normal attendance had reached 60 over two days. Now only 14 may attend on one day so would like to run an extra day which will be an additional cost.
Vulnerable – a number of groups met regularly in the café which can now only take 5 people. We want to extend the use of the hall with a café service – another extra cost.
Community – a maximum of 30 people in the hall for any event rather than 80-100 means whatever we do – movie, screening, live music, will be an additional cost.
Ideally they would like to raise £10,500, which with Match-funding will reach their target.

Time is limited – the fund starts at 10am next Tuesday, 27th October for amounts up to £75.
A second wave starts 3rd November, 10am for donations up to £5,000. The fund offered totals £1 million, but as it is a nationwide group this could disappear in the first couple of days.
So, the more people who can donate early, the better!
