We were pleased to receive the press release below following the successful 'A Field Full of Hope' Concert:
On 22nd August 2020, at Barnes Lane Recreation Ground, 170 people attended an outdoor, lunchtime concert organised by the Milford on Sea Community Centre and their amazing volunteers.
A fully Covid-19 compliant event, it showcased the talents of Colin Judson, Michelle Stone and Mark Stone accompanied by Richard Black. The programme ranged from Verdi to Gershwin, Vaughan Williams to Mozart and with songs “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” to “I’ll be seeing you”, aptly finishing with “You’ll Never Walk Alone”!
The field was marked out with shapes to suit groups of 2-6; a covered stage was created; the sound system was excellent; and marshals greeted and escorted attendees to their “pods”. A break for a picnic lunch was the interval and the weather was kind – if a little windy! All in all, a wonderful break in these uncertain times.
