Milford on Sea has an interesting event coming for anyone interested in local engineering.
The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2018 and they are putting on a series of events to demonstrate the benefits Civil Engineering has given to the public.
This walk gives an opportunity to see two separate Civil Engineering projects that have reduced the risk of damage in Milford-on-Sea. Civil Engineers who have been involved will talk about the details and generally how Coastal and River works are planned, financed and constructed.
The walk will be around 5.5 miles from the beach huts next to Hurst Road West Car Park on Thursday 26th July at 3pm, and will feature Milford Beach Huts Milford Flood Alleviation Dam.
These events are open to all, but numbers need to be limited so please email Anne Qualters: Anne.Qualters@ice.org.uk to secure your place(s).
