Milford on Sea resident, Anthony Kirke has written regarding a charity he supports.
Freedom From Torture’s music therapist said that he would be delighted to have such a fabulous simple instrument.
He would let his clients use it because they find music so calming and healing and without it some people may not recover at all.
We would be delighted if you would make a small contribution towards meeting our target of £2,000.
The maker of the bowl will be matching whatever contribution you make. So far we have more than a quarter of the funds we need.
More information on sounding bowls can be found at: www.soundingbowls.com
Anthony said: "There are many victims of torture who have escaped to the UK but who retain terrible psychological injuries. 'Freedom From Torture' is a UK charity which works effectively to heal these people.
Music has been found to be very helpful in this healing process.
We have launched an appeal to buy them a sounding bowl which is a very simple, beautiful and easy to play musical instrument.
