Twelfth Night Lantern Parade on Sunday

The new Milford on Sea community event, The Twelfth Night Lantern Parade takes place on Sunday 5th January 2025.

The inaugural Twelfth Night celebration marks the conclusion of Magical Milford at Christmas as the seasonal lights are switched off.

The event features a community lantern parade and everyone young and old are invited to join in making a lantern at the workshop at The Bridge. Later, you can join in the Lantern Parade.

If you simply want to come and watch the Lantern Parade, and enjoy the music in The Bridge, that's fine.

The West Gallery Quire, along with the King and Queen of Misrule, will lead the procession, followed by a performance of traditional winter songs and tunes in The Bridge.

(A West Gallery Quire is a choir that performs West Gallery music, a style of sacred music that was popular in English churches from 1700 to 1850.)
