Christmas Dining in Milford on Sea

26 November 2024

Help our Local Food Bank collecting Chocolate for Kids this Christmas

One of the many things New Forest Basics Food Bank do at Christmas is to send out advent calendars to every child in a family that receives a food parcel, and that will include some families here in Milford on Sea.

It would feel nice to put a smile on a less fortunate child's face with some extra chocolate for them to enjoy over Christmas.

If you can donate any chocolate advent calendar, or any other chocolate bars, your contribution would be very gratefully received.

As always, Mark at The Village News is more than happy to help by collecting any donations.

If you would like to drop off an advent calendar, or chocolate bars, the deadline is before Sunday 8th December 2024.

Drop donations in to: The Village News
74 High Street, Milford on Sea, SO41 0QD

PS: Mark has a large range of chocolate for kids, so why not pop in to buy a few bars to donate when next in the village.

PPS: For the advent calendars, we realise that December will have started, but we only found out about the appeal yesterday. I am sure the kids won't mind catching up by eating the past days chocolates in the advent calendar. Better late than never!

About New Forest Basics Bank

New Forest Basics Bank provide food and basics for people in need across the New Forest.

The Basics Bank offers non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, and basic household essentials. The food parcels have sufficient supplies for one week for one person and is increased to cover the number of family members for which a request is made.

There are many reasons why people may find themselves needing the support of a food bank. For example when the main earner in the household looses their job, a medical condition, a change in personal circumstances or a large unforeseen bill that leaves inadequate or no money for food. All parcels are a stop gap to support clients through troubled times.
