Milford on Sea Pre-School Plus wins recognition at Wilder Awards

Last week, Sarah Rix, manager at Milford on Sea Pre-School Plus, and her colleague Jenny, went along to Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Awards near Portsmouth to receive a Highly Commended Award in the Wilder Awards.

The Wilder Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, groups, & organisations making a difference for wildlife & the environment. The award was made by Trust President, Megan McCubbin.

Everyone at Milford on Sea Pre-School Plus have worked hard to provide spaces for wildlife and taught and encouraged the children to care for them. Activities have included; building bug hotels, sowing wildflower patches, feeding the birds and completing the Birdwatch, and gardening organically.

The Wilder Awards support the Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Trust's Wilder 2030 Strategy to put land, rivers, and sea back into recovery before the end of the decade.
