Cash donations to Earthquake Appeal at The Village News

Mark at The Village News has let us know that he can take cash donations for the Turkey and Syria Earthquake appeal, all of which goes directly to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) through his Payzone system.

The Payzone system is also used for anyone to make domestic bill payments; such as gas & electricity and also for mobile phone top ups. Payzone have now added a function to make charity donations to the emergency appeal.

Donations from £1 to £99 can be paid and a receipt will be provided, with 100% going to the appeal.

Many of our retailers in the village centre are finding business very tough at the moment, yet a number of them have quickly jumped to see how they can help the people so badly affected by the earthquake disaster. The way they continually support us all, and then still look to help others is highly commendable.

Disasters Emergency Committee: The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas.

In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need help and their mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response. www.dec.org.uk
