Milford on Sea households will shortly receive a Greening Challenge Card which will be delivered with the Village Voice.
To support our local Greening Campaign households are asked to commit to 5 of these challenges and display the logo side of the card in a window by the 10th December.
You can register to accept the challenges by using the QR code on the card or by dropping the card off at the Parish Council Office by the 21st January. The group can then calculate how much CO2 has been saved by the community.
Should you need them, more cards are available from the Parish Council Office.
Climate Change & Milford on Sea Meeting
The Milford on Sea Greening Campaign will also be hosting an open 'Climate Change & Milford on Sea' Meeting at 7pm on Wednesday 1st December at the Community Centre.
The meeting will be discussing climate change and how it impacts on the village. There will also be more conversation about the Greening Campaign and how people can work together to make our community more sustainable for all generations.
Everyone is welcome to go along.
Poster Competition
The MoS Greening Campaign recently held a Poster Competition at Milford on Sea Primary School where the pupils were asked to draw their vision of what climate change means to them.
There were over 30 entries and on the 19th November these were judged by Sir Desmond Swayne MP. Sir Desmond took away a number of cards written by the children to give to Boris Johnson.
The winning poster is displayed across a number of shops and Notice Boards across the village.
