A Heartfelt Thank You

We have received a message from Monica Murfitt who asked us to pass her thanks on, and I am sure her view is shared by many, if not all of us in the village:

"A huge thank you to our Milford shops that remain open:-

The Veg Shop who ensure lovely produce is stocked up constantly.

The gang in Hollands who ensure most of our needs are met with good humour.

The Coop who let the over 70 year old's access the shop daily for a one hour period.

Boot and The Pharmacy, who carefully help us with our prescriptions and specific goods that need to be ordered.

Our Newsagents who keep us informed with the news and concerns regarding voluntary help.

Plus of course The Butchers Shop.

Without you, we would need to make many more trips into Supermarkets, making us a little less safe.

Lastly to the wonderful, efficient refuse collectors who quietly remove all our waste weekly. How lucky are we as the warm weather gathers speed.

In a world of change, these people have certainly made our lives more comfortable, as we wait!!

Hope you may find a space for an appreciative audience.

Kind Regards..... Monica Murfitt"

Hear, hear!

PS - Dog Walkers: We have also had another note from a reader asking us to mention that a Radio 4 programme yesterday was discussing that although pets themselves cannot spread the virus, it is possible for it to spread on dogs’ coats, collars or leads.

Dogs should of course be kept on a lead whilst out walking at this time and the 2 metre rule should also apply to them.

My guess is that it would be hard to explain this to your pets, so owners, please keep your pets at a safe distance from others whilst this crisis continues.

Dogs and all pets must be a great comfort to many at this time, please if you are walking with them, keep the social distancing rule in place.
