BBC News have reported that a British inventor, Richard Browning has taken up the challenge to deliver a letter from Hurst Castle to the Isle of Wight crossing across open water wearing a jet engine-powered suit.
The journey was inspired 85 years after the idea of rocket post failed for German entrepreneur Gerhard Zucker,
The distance from Hurst Castle in Lymington to Fort Albert in Freshwater is 1.3 km, and is the furthest Richard has ever flown.
