Birding for Beginners with the MCV 'Birding Team'

Did you know that Over 120 species of birds have been seen at the Sturt Pond Bird Hide since February 2009?

Would you like to learn about our local feather wildlife, and help in identifying the local birds at Sturt Pond?

If you would, you can now meet the MCV 'Birding Team' at the bird hide every Saturday morning in September between 10am and 11am. (Starting this Saturday 10th September 2016.)

Experienced bird watchers will be on hand each week and visitors will have free use of binoculars, telescopes and identification books. There will also be sound recording of most of the birds likely to be encountered and the team can explain some simple techniques to help identify the birds you are likely to see along our coastline.

Youngsters under 18 years old are welcome but need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. A small donation to the MCV can be made by placing coins in the security donations box in the Bird Hide.

Venue: Bird Hide - Gate is in car park next to The Marine/The Raft on seafront in Hurst Road, .
